But here we repeat it in order to point out that the word &#8220;blessed&#8221; is used in two different senses. We do not bless God in the same way that He blesses us. The former word is always used of God, the latter may be used of men. Grace is the subject, and it is the exceeding wealth of this wondrous grace which has abounded toward those who are &#8221; accepted in the Beloved,&#8221;<br \/>\nBy Antiptosis the one is put for the other, and the noun &#8221; riches&#8221; is put for the adjective : <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>i.e.<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> His exceeding rich grace.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/stream\/cu31924029277047#page\/n663\/mode\/2up\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><u>Metalepsis<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><u> <\/u><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/stream\/cu31924029277047#page\/n665\/mode\/2up\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><u>610<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">: &#8220;&#8230;redemption through his blood&#8230;&#8221; blood is put, by Metonymy, for his death, and his death means what was accomplished by it.
