In logic it is the conclusion of a syllogism.<br \/>\nIt is from <span style=\"font-family: 'SBL Greek';\">\u03c3\u03cd\u03bd<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">(<i>sun<\/i>),<i> together with<\/i>, and <span style=\"font-family: 'SBL Greek';\">\u03c0\u03b5\u03c1\u03b1\u03b9\u03cc\u03c9 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">(<i>peraio\u014d<\/i><\/span>), <i>to carry over<\/i> or <i>across<\/i>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\nHence,<i> Symperasma<\/i> means <i>to conclude along with<\/i>, <i>to end together<\/i>, and is used when what has been said is briefly summed up, and when certain foregoing enumerations are given in a brief epitome.<br \/>\nIt is called also ATHR\u0152SMOS (a-thr\u0153s&#8217;-mos), from <span style=\"font-family: 'SBL Greek';\">\u1f00\u03b8\u03c1\u03bf\u1f77\u03b6\u03c9 <\/span>(<em>athroiz<\/em><span style=\"font-family: GentiumAlt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><i><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u014d<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span>), <em>to collect<\/em> or <em>gather together<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\nIt differs from <i>Synathr\u0153smus <\/i>(<i><i>q.v<\/i>.<\/i>) in that it is used at the end and as the conclusion of what has been before said, and not in the course, and as part of the statement.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\nMatt. 1:17 \u2014Here, in this one verse, is given a brief summary of the preceding sixteen verses.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u201cSo all the generations from Abraham to David [<i>are<\/i>] fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon [<i>are<\/i>] fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ [<i>are<\/i>] fourteen generations.\u201d (KJV)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\nJohn 20:30 \u2014Here is a brief reference to much that is not contained in the whole Gospel.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u201cAnd many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book&#8230;\u201d (KJV)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\nHeb. 11:39 \u2014Here, after having enumerated a number of persons, and of facts concerning them, one brief sentence includes and is true of them all: \u201cAnd these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">From \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/download\/figuresofspeechu00bull\/figuresofspeechu00bull.pdf\"><u>Figures Of Speech Used In The Bible<\/u><\/a>\u201d by E.
