\n.<\/span>A verb is a word which signifies to be<\/i>, to do<\/i>, or to suffer<\/i>, and expresses the action, the suffering, or the being, or the doing.
\n.<\/span>
\n.<\/span>When therefore the verb is omitted, it throws the emphasis on the thing that is done rather than on the doing of it.
\n.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

.<\/span>On the other hand, when the noun<\/i> is omitted, our thought is directed to the action of the verb, and is centered on that rather than on the object or the subject.
\n.<\/span>
\n.<\/span>Bearing this in mind, we proceed to consider a few examples:
