Also, the olive tree is <\/span><\/span><\/span>elaia, <\/span><\/span><\/span> \u1f10\u03bb\u03b1\u1f77\u03b1<\/a> .

\nOther trees are mentioned in the Bible, but the wood lumber, and items made from that lumber or wood is called <\/span><\/span><\/span>xylon<\/span><\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Xylon <\/span><\/span><\/span>does not refer to the tree, but the wood of the tree. By this we know that when the word <\/span><\/span><\/span>xylon<\/span><\/span><\/span> is used it is not literally a tree, but a wooden product of the tree. The terms \u201ctree of life\u201d and \u201ctree of knowledge of good and evil\u201d both use the word <\/span><\/span><\/span>xylon<\/span><\/span><\/span> and are used figuratively.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n
\nIn Revelation 22:2 and again in verse 14, the word \u201ctree\u201d in \u201cthe tree of life\u201d is the word <\/span><\/span><\/span>xylon, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>\u03be\u1f7b\u03bb\u03bf\u03bd<\/a> , and means the wood of a tree, or that which is made from the wood<\/span><\/span><\/span>. This word also is used by Peter in <\/span><\/span><\/span>Acts 5:30<\/a>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>10:39<\/a>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>13:29<\/a>
\nand <\/span><\/span><\/span>1 Pet. 2:24<\/a>. Paul also used this word in <\/span><\/span><\/span>Galations 3:13<\/a>.
