\nSpecial notes:
\nIn verse 13 Dr. Bullinger mentions the figure Synecdoche applying to the word \u201call\u201d as excluding Enoch, so as to say he was a part of the whole, but who did not die. Dr. Bullinger then refers back to verse 5 which indicates that Enoch did not \u201csee\u201d death, which is commonly taken to mean that he did not die. However, the word \u201csee\u201d in verse 5 is \u03b5\u1f34\u03b4\u03c9<\/span><\/span><\/span> (eid<\/span><\/span>\u014d<\/span><\/span>), which simply means to perceive with the eyes. Enoch did not visually witness anyone having died. It does not mean that Enoch did not die and is still alive, for \u201cthese all died\u201d, just as verse 13 indicates. I do not agree that verse 13 contains Synecdoche in the words \u201cthese all\u201d, meaning with exception to Enoch.

\nAlso, in Index III on page 1084 Dr. Bullinger lists verses 22-38 as containing the figure Asyndeton page 148. However, on page 148 the note indicates verses 32-38. Additionally, verse 32 clearly contains a Polysyndeton and not an Asyndeton. The Asyndeton begins in verse 33 and concludes in verse 34. Verse 35 then begins a closely related but independent thought, which contains two conjunctions as noted above, and is not part of the Asyndeton. This is quite likely an error of the editor or publisher, rather than the author.<\/span><\/span>

\nIn verse 36 the \u03ba\u03b1\u1f76<\/b><\/span><\/span> (and<\/span><\/span>\u03ba<\/span><\/span><\/sup>) connecting \u201c<\/span><\/span>mockings and scourgings\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span> as well as the one connecting \u201c<\/span><\/span>bonds and imprisonment\u201d would not affect either a Polysyndeton or an Asyndeton if either were present in the verse, as <\/span><\/span><\/span>\u03ba\u03b1\u1f76<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> (and<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u03ba<\/span><\/span><\/sup><\/span>) here is simply used to associate two things with each other in each pair.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nIn verse 37 the KJV has translated the preposition \u1f10\u03bd<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> as if it were the conjunction \u201cand\u201d. By doing this they have eliminated the Asyndeton, which logically would conclude the verse with \u2026 \u201c<\/span><\/span>(Of whom the world was not worthy:)\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span>.
\nVerse 38 then begins with \u201cThey wandered…\u201d leading us into a Polysyndeton of \u201cand\u201d with <\/span><\/span> \u03ba\u03b1\u1f76<\/b><\/span><\/span> <\/b>being the bond.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
